The Faculty of Chemistry at the Brno University of Technology (FCH VUT) recently hosted another successful edition of its traditional event, “Open Day and Chemistry Day 2026,” this year under the inspiring theme “Chemistry that Connects.” As a company whose core business is built on applied chemistry — developing eco-friendly dextrin adhesives for the paper industry — TOPCORE was proud to be an active participant.
Our booth at the faculty served as a vibrant hub for meeting future colleagues, students, and industry experts. The theme of connection perfectly aligns with our own philosophy — we bridge the gap between innovative chemical research and its real-world application in adhesive technologies, sustainable materials, and custom machinery for paper tube, protective edge, and honeycomb production.
We provided visitors with an inside look at how chemistry drives our daily work — from formulating borax-free powder and liquid adhesives made from potato starch to optimizing production processes that significantly reduce water consumption. Engaging discussions about sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based PVAc and PVOH adhesives confirmed that interest in green chemistry within the packaging industry continues to grow.

We would like to thank FCH VUT for the excellent organization and everyone who stopped by our booth for the inspiring conversations. We look forward to future collaborations and to the new talents who will join us in the years to come.
