Product Description

Based on the research project “Research and development of a new generation elastic glue” (code CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000869), TOPCORE has developed elastic adhesives for packaging and consumer applications. These adhesives are available both as a powder mixture and as a ready-to-use liquid solution. Thanks to a unique combination of dextrin, flexible polymer components, and optimized water content, the adhesive is able to create a bond with elastic properties that adapts to product deformation without cracking.

Features and benefits

Elastic bond: Added elastic polymers increase the flexibility of the adhesive and allow the bonds to stretch without losing strength.
Wide range of applications: Elastic adhesives are particularly suitable for thin-walled paper tubes, U- or V-shaped protective edges, and other products that require a flexible bond.
Food contact certification: Upon request, confirmation of suitability for direct and indirect contact with food can be provided (important for consumer packaging).
Available in various forms: Adhesives are offered as a powder mixture for mixing with water and CaCO₃, or as a ready-to-use liquid adhesive.

Appliaction

Elastic adhesives are designed for products where flexibility and elasticity of joints are required – thin-walled paper tubes, protective edges (U- or V-profile) and other paper packaging. The adhesive adapts to deformations and prevents cracks from forming during handling or transport.
